google groups definition

full-eng is the typical configuration when developing on the ARM
emulator. Being an eng build, it is configured with additional
debugging tools and sanity-checking. It also contains all
applications, all locales, all audio, etc...
full_x86-eng is the same for the x86 emulator. vbox_x86-eng is
similar, but for virtualbox. Those two are a recent development and
might be missing a few details here and there.
full_passion-userdebug, full_crespo-userdebug and
full_crespo4g_userdebug are the typical builds when developing on
actual hardware (passion, crespo and crespo4g are the codenames of
Nexus One, Nexus S and Nexus S 4G). As userdebug builds, they are
configured to be close to retail (user) builds, with minimal
differences to allow debugging (adb enabled by default, root access,
all apps debuggable). Jean-Baptiste M. "JBQ" Queru
